Thiago has more than 15 years of experience in Tax and Customs Law, with professional experience in Brazil and abroad. In tax litigation, he develops strategies tailored to the specific needs of each matter and represents clients in complex cases before municipal and state Tax Appeals Boards, as well as Brazil’s Administrative Council for Tax Appeals (CARF). He also has significant experience before local and higher courts. In addition, he advises on the structuring and implementation of procedural agreements and tax settlements.

In his advisory practice, Thiago focuses on assisting Brazilian and foreign clients, providing guidance on the interpretation and application of Brazilian legislation to matters related to their operations, as well as assisting them in obtaining the Special Tax Regimes required for their activities.

He is a member of the Special Tax Matters Committee (CEAT) of the Rio de Janeiro State Bar Association (OAB/RJ).

Thiago holds an LL.M. in Tax Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro (FGV Rio), an MBA in Federal Tax Management from Universidade Cândido Mendes (UCAM), and a Master’s degree in Public Finance, Taxation and Development from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
